This workshop is devoted to some of the most intriguing aspects of General Relativity. It will focus on recent results and research programs in the fields of blackhole physics and the physics and mathematics of naked singularities. Main topics will cover: physical and mathematical aspects of blackhole thermodynamics; analytical and numerical results concerning the formation of horizons or the outcome of naked singularities in gravitational collapse and the cosmic censorship conjecture; quantum and string theoretical aspects of blackholes and naked singularities.
The workshop will consist in about twelve invited lectures and two short sections of contributed talks, with large space for discussion.
